The following species were added on 20 June 2023:

• Mottled bushfish (Ctenopoma weeksii)
• Helicopter catfish (Wallagonia leerii)
• Congo squeaker (Synodontis pleurops)
• Wallago catfish (Wallago attu)
• Firewood catfish (Sorubimichthys planiceps)
• Vari's electric eel (Electrophorus varii)
• Lipstick leporinus (Leporinus arcus)

Picture shows one of the only confirmed Vari's electric eels (Electrophorus varii) in captivity. This very rare species is able to give electric shocks to catch its preys. The species was described only in 2019.

Picture shows a firewood catfish (Sorubimichthys planiceps), a unique species that is the sole member of its genus.
